At BenchSci, our mission is to exponentially increase the speed and quality of life-saving research. We empower scientists with the world’s most advanced biomedical artificial intelligence to run more successful experiments.

Our customers are therefore on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. They include scientists in the world’s largest academic institutions and pharmaceutical companies. These researchers lead efforts to diagnose, treat, and vaccinate against the novel infection.

In this post, I’ll summarize what we’re doing to help them and the global fight against the pandemic.

BenchSci products will continue to run uninterrupted

First, we want to assure our customers that BenchSci products will run uninterrupted. We have mandated work-from-home to ensure the health of our team and community, and slow the virus's spread. Remote work isn’t new to our team, as we have long allowed working from home one day a week. With the additional time at home, we have provided training and resources to maintain team effectiveness through this disruption. Our team is passionate about our mission and motivated to rise to this challenge.

Customer success and support will continue as planned with remote demonstrations and training

Second, we want to assure customers that they can rely on our customer success and support teams. We will continue to offer on-demand support during business hours, and group and one-on-one demonstrations and training sessions as scheduled. The main difference is that our customer success team will utilize remote presentations due to our travel and visitor restriction policies, and those of our customers.

New SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 data and reagents will be available to all scientists

Finally, we know that researchers are working nonstop to develop treatments and vaccines. So our team has prioritized initiatives to enable and speed this critical research. We’re currently working to prepare a data package for scientists working on the virus. We’ll make the data available first in a public spreadsheet, with daily updates. We’ll then make it available on BenchSci, with free access for academics in our AI-Assisted Antibody Selection product and enterprise access in our AI-Assisted Reagent Selection product.

We're motivated and committed to helping scientists address this unprecedented global health crisis. If you have ideas for how else we can leverage our data and technology, please email me at liran@benchsci.com.
