Monthly Update - February 2017

Liran Belenzon

It's that time of the month, BenchSci's monthly update!

So let's get to it...

This month we focused our energy on talking to as many beta users as possible. We collected their feedback and in the next couple of months, we will be introducing some amazing new features.

In the meantime, we are focusing on improving our data libraries. We now cover over 2,400 cell lines, 200 species, 160 tissues, 250 diseases and 90 cell types.

Antibody validations - We analyzed 500,000 additional open-access papers and added 170,000 new antibody validations in the form of published figures. This means that you can now find 400,000 antibody validations on BenchSci. Our goal is to reach 500,000 in the next two months.

New vendors - We now host catalogs from 135 antibody vendors. Our goal is to reach 150 by the end of next month.

We have formed a very unique partnership with SickKids Hospital. Labs at SickKids can now enjoy free access to BenchSci and free delivery for their antibodies through their local supply centre.

Team members

We are constantly growing our Team. This month, Casandra Mangroo joined our team as a Scientific Associate. She does everything from science to marketing to special tasks.
