2023: Celebrating a Year of Connection, Growth, and Impact

At BenchSci, 2023 was a year defined by community, inclusivity, and a deep commitment to employee growth. In our continuous commitment to transparency and progress this year, we have expanded our DEI report into one that focuses on impact, moving away from a report solely focused on representation and culture. We are excited to expand our report to include our sustainability initiatives and outline our goals for the future. As we step into 2024, we carry with us the lessons learned, and the achievements celebrated, all fueling our ambition to build a truly sustainable and thriving workplace. 

This year, we witnessed the vibrant tapestry of our community come alive. We expanded partnerships with organizations like The Knowledge Society and the Black Professionals in Tech Network, strengthening our commitment to STEM education and supporting underrepresented communities. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) played a pivotal role in shaping our inclusive culture, advocating for positive change, and fostering a sense of belonging. Through our Chapter Program, we connected geographically dispersed employees, reminding them they are part of a larger, supportive family.

We believe that investing in our people is investing in our future. We prioritized career development and employee well-being by enhancing our Total Rewards program and conducting a comprehensive compensation fairness analysis. We understand that a happy and fulfilled workforce is the driving force behind our success.

Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond environmental consciousness. We are dedicated to becoming a more equitable organization, building a future that is inclusive and beneficial for all stakeholders. Our partnership with Generation Investment Management is a testament to this commitment as we work towards implementing a robust Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework.

While we celebrate our achievements, we also acknowledge the areas where we can improve. Increasing gender diversity at the leadership level and enhancing engagement measurement are key focus areas for us in the coming year.
