How to make the most out of BenchSci

At BenchSci, our goal is to help fellow scientists achieve biomedical discoveries faster.

That is why we have developed many features on BenchSci to ensure scientists can find, keep track, and share antibodies with ease like never before.

We're excited to introduce each of the features on BenchSci.

Ready? Let's check them out!

1. Figures can be filtered by specific experimental contexts

filter

The capability of identifying published figures by specific immuno-techniques is something that has never been done before, but you can easily do so on BenchSci!

You can also filter experimental contexts such as tissues, species, cell lines to help you identify figures that are most closely related to your experimental interest in seconds.

2. Search results can be viewed as "Products" or "Figures"

views

Depending on your preference, you may wish to examine figures first then identify the antibody within, or you may wish to examine antibodies first then view associated figures to support its use.

Either way you can apply the context filters mentioned above!

3. "Star" or "Favourite" figures and products

star1

For individual figures that you found interesting, you can track them by "starring". The starred figures will be saved temporarily on the side bar.

star2

You can also "star" individual antibodies.

star3

You can even "star" figures and the antibody used!

star4

The starred figures/antibodies will be stored temporarily on the side bar until you save them.

The saved figures/antibodies will now appear at My Bench (see below)

4. My Bench

mybench

My Bench is your personal area where you can organize figures/antibodies by projects or experiments.

You can come back to My Bench anytime to track all the figures and antibodies that you found relevant to your study.

5. Sharing the knowledge

email

You can email individual figures or antibodies to your colleagues, lab members, or collaborators with a click of a button.

email2

You can also email multiple figures/antibodies from the side bar or My Bench.

That's it! These are the features that are currently on BenchSci.
